Install Microsoft SQL Server Express and myLittleAdmin with Plesk

Your server running Plesk offers built-in tools to install both SQL Express, as well as myLittleAdmin.
SQL Express is Microsoft's free version of SQL.
myLittleAdmin is a web interface that lets you interact with the databases you create through SQL Express.
Install SQL Express and myLittleAdmin
Log in to Plesk.
Go to the Server tab.
In the Plesk section, click Updates and Upgrades.
Click Add/Remove Components.
(Optional) Select that you want to install myLittleAdmin.

Select the version of MSSQL you want to use.

Click Continue.

After installing SQL Express, you can create databases by going to the Database tab.

If you installed myLittleAdmin, you'll want to make sure it's set as the default admin panel for MSSQL.
Set myLittleAdmin as the Default Admin Panel
Go to the Server tab.
In the Server Management section, click Server Components.
Next to Microsoft SQL Webadmin, your default admin panel displays.

If myLittleAdmin displays, you're done!

If any other value displays continue to the next step.
Click Microsoft SQL Webadmin.
In the Microsoft SQL Webadmin section, select myLittleAdmin, and then click OK.

You can access myLittleAdmin by going to the Databases tab, and then clicking Webadmin next to the database you want to use.

Unable to create a subscription: the IP pool is empty

Applicable to:Plesk 12.5 for LinuxPlesk 12.5 for Windows
Symptoms

Plesk shows the following error when a reseller tries to create a subscription:

Error: Unable to create a subscription: the IP pool is empty.
Cause

There are no free IP addresses allocated for the reseller.

Resolution

To make it possible for a reseller to create additional subscriptions use the following options as a Plesk administrator:

Go to Service Plans > Reseller Plans > example_plan > IP Addresses and

Allocate a shared IP address.

Allocate additional dedicated IP addresses.

Restricting Remote Access via Plesk API🔗

Plesk API is an interface you use to interact with Plesk. You can use it to remotely perform various operations in Plesk. For example, you can create customer accounts, delete subscriptions, and much more. However, an attacker can potentially use Plesk API for malicious purposes, for example, to gain control over your server. To protect against such attacks, we recommend restricting remote access via Plesk API.

In Plesk, you can either prohibit all connections via Plesk API (both XML API and REST API) or allow them only from trusted IP addresses.

To do so, you add the following entries to the panel.ini file.

To prohibit all connections via Plesk API:
[api]
enabled = off

To allow connections via Plesk API only from specific IP addresses:
[api]
allowedIPs = IP_addresses

Where the allowedIPs setting accepts one or more IP addresses separated by commas or whitespace characters.

Here are valid examples of the allowedIPs setting in the panel.ini file:
[api]
allowedIPs = 10.58.108.100,192.168.0.0

There are 3 different ways to restart the Plesk Management Service on Windows Server.



Restarting via Plesk Services Monitor

Connect to a Plesk server via RDP.

Start Plesk Services Monitor from the tray > Select Plesk Management Service under the Plesk Run-Time section > Click Restart.
